End of Workday Reset
A guided pause for parking unfinished work, marking the end of the work period, and choosing how you want to enter the next part of your day.
Work can end without everything being finished.
This practice is for the end of a shift, work block, school day, or caregiving period. It can be used in a workplace, before a commute, or while working from home.
The reset will help you record what needs attention later, choose a closing cue, and reconnect with what comes next. It does not require you to feel calm or stop thinking about work completely.
This note stays in this browser window and is not submitted or saved. Move it to your own task system if you need it later.
The work period has been marked.
Let the next part of the day be what it is. Rest, care responsibilities, connection, solitude, and ordinary tasks all count as life beyond work.
An individual reset cannot solve chronic overload, unsafe conditions, inadequate staffing, or expectations that interfere with rest. Organizations share responsibility for work conditions and worker well-being. This educational practice does not replace individualized care.
