Thought Parking Lot
Briefly record a recurring concern, choose whether and when it needs attention, and redirect toward the task or moment in front of you.
Postponing is not pretending the thought does not exist.
The purpose is to acknowledge the concern and give it an intentional place, rather than repeatedly trying to solve it during every part of the day.
If the concern requires immediate action or involves safety, respond to it now instead of parking it.
Optional. Your words stay in this browser window and are not submitted or saved.
Return to the present task.
Parking a thought does not guarantee it will stay away. If it returns, briefly remind yourself where and when you chose to revisit it, then redirect again.
Do not postpone an immediate safety concern, urgent medical need, required deadline, or situation requiring timely action. Persistent or impairing worry may benefit from support from a licensed mental health professional or health care provider.
